Abstract

This paper discusses how educational conscience is embodied in poetry during the educational democratization movement of teachers in the 1980s. In the 1980s, the educational democratization movement was a phenomenon in which the conscience of teachers became a social surface. Teachers leaned on the conscience of educators and embodied the contradictions of the reality of education at the time in poetry. Within the ideological framework of the educational movement of true education, there were two problems of conscience that caused teachers to agonize. One is the conscience of teachers, and the other is the conscience of workers. Teachers agonized over their identity in the process of developing from 'educator' to 'educational worker'. And the worry revealed the confusion and conflict that arise between the educational system and the labor system. The question of whether I am an educator or a worker was given to teachers at the level of conscience. In order to answer these self-questions, educational movement poetry in the 1980s embodied the process of conscientious atonement of teachers who are both the subject of labor and education.
