격심한 사회변화 속에서 마음의 병을 앓는 현대인들이 많아지면서 미술치료, 음악치료와 같은 예술치료에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 연극치료 역시 여타 예술치료 분야에 비해 늦은 출발에도 불구하고 빠른 성장세를 이어오고 있으나, 활용 현황은 아직 미미한 수준이다. 이러한 현실을 감안하여 본 연구는 오늘날 사회․문화 전반에 걸쳐 큰 영향력을 행사하고 있는 뉴미디어 기술이 연극치료에 어떻게 활용될 수 있는가에 주목, 그 가능성과 활용방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다음의 3가지 관점에서 뉴미디어 기술을 구체적으로 살펴본다. 첫째, 물리적 제약을 넘어선 가상현실의 구축, 둘째, 인터랙티브 기술을 활용한 상호작용, 셋째, 감각의 재교육과 확장이 그것이다. 이를 통해 연극치료와 뉴미디어의 협업 가능성과 시너지 효과를 확인할 수 있다. 뉴미디어 기술이 연극치료에 접목될 경우 연극치료가 갖는 현실적 한계와 제약을 극복하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구가 생경하게 인식될 수 있는 두 분야의 협업을 통해 연극치료의 발전과 인간의 정신건강에 이바지하게 되길 희망한다.
Abstract
Amid severe social changes, there are many more people suffering from mental illness. As a result, interest in art therapy is increasing. Despite the late start of the other art therapys, the dramatherapy is undergoing rapid growth, but the use of the dramatherapy is still modest. This study is focused on new media technologies and how there can be utilized in the dramatherapy and try to explore the possibilities and utilization.For this examine in detail in terms of the following three.First, construction of the virtual reality beyond the physical constraints.Second, interaction utilizing interactive technology.Third, retraining and extension of the senses.Thus, we can see the potential collaboration and synergy effects of new media and dramatherapy. When new media technologies are combined with the dramatherapy, it is expected that the dramatherapy will help overcome the realistic limitations of the dramatherapy. I hope that this study will contribute to the development of the dramatherapy and mental health care through the collaboration of the two areas.
