Abstract
Yuksa has well-known as a poet of resistance and participation and his poems have been commonly said to have the aspect of struggle and resistance. As a result of study on the spaces of Yuksa’s poems centering around the words in his works, however, it is clear that his poems are not resistant. His poems are rather private and aesthetic than resistant. The spaces on his poems are the places of personal conviction. In other words his poem’s specific character is the places of personal conviction,, singularity, aestheticism , elitism, post-colonialism, timelessness. Yuksa’s life was resistant but his poems wasn’t. The discord between the life and poem is thought to be the power to create his own works. That is why his poems are able to remain a long in history and be evaluated highly even today. It is because that the spaces of private belief in Yuksa’s works can get the universality of all times.
