초록
In this study, we analyzed multiple antibiotic resistance (MAR) and class 1 integron (intI1) gene cassettes in Aeromonas isolates after gentamicin therapy in farmed loach (Misgurnus mizolepis). Gentamicin treatment resulted in higher resistance not only to gentamicin itself but also to amikacin, enrofloxacin, flumequine, doxycycline, clindamycin, and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole compared to gentamicin-susceptible Aeromonas isolates obtained from untreated fish. In addition, a significant dif- ference in the MAR index was observed between the two groups. The intI1 gene cassettes analysis revealed that only two gentamicin-resistant Aeromonas isolates carried a total of five gene cassettes. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that gentamicin use can promote not only single-drug resistance but also the emergence of MAR in Aeromonas. However, the contribution of intI1 to MAR develop- ment was found to be limited.
