인구소멸시대 문화관광을 통한 섬 재생방안에 관한 연구 - 일본 세토내예술제를 중심으로 -

Abstract

The population is rapidly decreasing, mainly in outer regions and islands. As a site-specific art festival conducted in the Seto inland area, Japan, to introduce cultural tourism as a method of sustainable island regeneration, a poetic study is attempted on the feasibility of introducing the case of the visual arts festival into Korea's island region through theoretical review, status analysis, and issue. Through creative cultural activities that communicate with citizens in public spaces, local revitalization and cultural place value are created, or the declining area is reorganized as a cultural center to enhance social vitality and contribute to the revitalization of local culture. The implications of the Seto Art Festival in the era of population extinction are as follows. First, it seems to be a successful case by using culture and art for local regeneration that utilizes idle spaces such as empty houses, closed schools, closed factories, and warehouses in the region. Second, it increases exchanges across times, places, genres, and generations. Third, it introduces young people with creative ideas in the age of demographic destruction. Fourth, regional revitalization is achieved through cooperation with local residents. Finally, it is increasing the income of local residents by providing agricultural and fishery products, accommodation, etc., and provinding various human and material services. Based on this, an introduction plan wss presented . First, there is a need for solidarity with art projects and regions. Second, solidarity with local resources. Third, there is a need for connection with living tourism. Fourth, a global perspective is needed. Finally, volunteers need to prepare a system for fostering and strengthening volunteers as a critical factor. This study is a poetic study on the regeneration of the island region through cultural tourism, and continuous research is needed in the future.
