Abstract
This study aims to analyses a basic level Korean textbooks for foreigners by spoken language corpus. The vocabulary is introduced in steps according to their frequency and essentialness. However, the contemporary situation for Korean as a foreign language(KFL hereafter) education is not as optimistic situation. The significance of spoken language corpus has become more and more crucial in the areas such as dictionary compiling, foreign language education, development of curriculum and syllabus, development of textbooks for foreign language education, proficiency testing, etc. In order to accommodate the need and expectation KFL education, we need to implement and adopt the principle and methods developed upon the basis of corpus compiled.
