본 연구는 어촌지역 특산물을 활용한 미식 관광 개발을 통한 고부가가치 창출로 어촌지역사회의 균형 있는 발전과 활성화를 위한 모델 도출과 정책제언을 목적으로 하였다. 주요 연구결과, 어촌지역 특산물이 단순한 농축수산 및 특산물의 차원을 넘어 어촌지역의 역사와 문화, 자연환경을 반영한 독특한 자원으로, 이를 활용한 미식 관광은 다른 관광 형태와 차별화된 경쟁력을 가질 수 있다는 점을 확인했다. 미식 관광은 어촌지역 특산물의 브랜드 가치를 높이고, 관광객들에게 어촌지역의 정체성을 경험하도록 하여 지속 가능한 관광 모델을 가능하게 한다는 점도 확인했다. 위 연구결과에 따른 정책제언을 제시한바 첫째, 어촌지역 특산물의 고부가가치화를 위한 정책 추진이 필요하다. 둘째, 미식 관광콘텐츠 개발지원 정책 추진이다. 셋째, 어촌지역의 주민참여 강화 및 역량 강화 정책 추진이다. 넷째, 지속 가능한 미식 관광 모델 구축 정책 추진이다. 다섯째, 정부와 민간의 협력 강화 정책 추진이다.
Abstract
This study aims to propose a model and policy recommendations for balanced development and revitalization of local communities by creating high added value through the development of gastronomy tourism utilizing local specialty products. The main findings reveal that local specialty products are not merely agricultural, livestock, or fishery items, but rather unique resources reflecting the region’s history, culture, and natural environment. By harnessing these resources, gastronomy tourism can establish a differentiated competitive edge over other forms of tourism. The study also confirms that gastronomy tourism enhances the brand value of local specialty products and allows tourists to experience the region’s identity, thereby enabling sustainable tourism models. Based on the findings, the following policy recommendations are presented: • Implementation of policies to create high value-added local specialty products. • Promotion of policies to support the development of gastronomy tourism content. • Strengthening resident participation and capacity-building through relevant policies. • Establishment of policies to build sustainable gastronomy tourism models. • Enhancement of government-private sector collaboration policies.
