Public facilities in korea are managed by a limited budget and follow-up management, and about 35 % of them are over 20 years after construction. Despite growing demand for repair, it is more difficult to acquire a budget due to low growth rates and rising debt ratios. As the service level of public FM increases gradually, there is no proper response to deterioration due to a lack of understanding of social change. This is a time to plan public facilities management strategies in the life cycle of public facilities. In this study, the basic research was conducted to establish efficient FM service system for the public facilities reflecting needs of public and society, and to compare and analyze the facility management standards of Korea, Japan, Europe, the United States, and Australia. Ultimately, it should have integrated facility management for proper operation and management in the building's life cycle.
