林悌의〈元生夢遊錄〉再考

Abstract

The one which was earliest composed in the literature included in <Wonsaengmongyurok> is "Noreungji" compiled by Yun Sun-geo (1594- 1667) in the 4th reigning year of King Hyeonjong (1663). 『Jangr yengji』(1711) was compiled with reference to Yun Sun-geo's "Noreungji", and for this reason it was included in <Wonsaengmongyurok>. And 『Kwan ranyugo』(1813) was included with the title of <Mongyurok> in the fist edition and the earliest of the literature whose writer was identified as Wonho. But as discussed in this study, the first edition of 『Kwanranyugo』was included with 『Jangreungji』as the draft copy. Unlike 『Jangreungji』, the utterance of Bokgeonja was omitted, and ‘Maewol’ was written in addition. The poem of 'Maewol' after Mongyu is followed by Mongyu, and addit ional notes are added in five lines. And the first edition of 『Kwanranyugo』and 『Jangreungji』are identical with 『A Collection of Haewol's Works』in the ending purport of all the works. Moreover, in 『A Collection of Haewol's Works』(1776), the posthumous work of Hwang Yeo-il (1556-1622), Vol.3 and 7 of <Wongsaengmon gyurok> of ‘Lim Baek-ho’ made clear its composer in the epilogue and the poem with the title. Therefore, it can become the trustworthy material as the record which is earlier by 37 years than the first edition of 『Kwang ranyugo』. <Wonsaengmongyurok> has the composition that Wonsaeng portrayed the historical figures and facts through the process of somnambulism or sleepwalking, and the consciousness of the composer was diversely organized and fictionalized in harmony with its characters. Accordingly, <Wonsaengmongyurok> is the work in which the author Lim Jae gave vent to the regret that his military open-mindedness and integrity could not be realized in the crevice of the realities full of the contradiction and disruption of the bureaucratic class of that time and that he became conscious of his realistic limit at the same time.
