초록
The Student Performance Criteria (SPC) serve as the fundamental standards for architectural education accreditation, holding absolute significance as the essential requirements that academic programs must fulfill. The National Competency Standards (NCS) in the architectural design sector precisely delineate the specific job competencies that graduates are required to perform in the professional practice. While the former is often broadly interpreted to allow for program specialization and differentiation, the latter provides a significantly specific definition of the skills demanded by the architectural workplace. Given that the achievement of the architectural design program is ultimately evaluated by its graduates' practical job competence, educational effectiveness will be substantially enhanced upon the systemic integration of the former (SPC) and the latter (NCS) in the program's operation. Based on this approach, a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the correlations between the items of the SPC and the respective NCS components: Job Basic Competencies and Job Competency Units. This research subsequently examined the correlation of the SPC and NCS by reviewing the selected representative course in the Department of Architecture at D University.
