역사의 대지를 객토하는 전경인적(全耕人的) 시인 ―신동엽의 유작시 <蠻地의 音樂>을 중심으로―

Abstract

Sin Dong Yeop is a poet who actively participated in reality in the 1960s based on his devotion to history which was exercised subjective ability in the history of nation. Most of all the poetic awareness about 'establishment of nation' and 'unification of nation' which flow through his poem was to plan and practice discussion of modernity which was closely corresponded to the context of nation. Considering on our contradictory reality that the Korean Peninsula is the only separate nation on the earth, these two awareness is not separated problem. Moreover when we recognize our special situation that the separate system is the sub category of world system, the overcome of separate system is to overcome structure badness and behavior badness of world system. In other words the double task of modernity that is the pursuit of modernity and overcome of modernity is embodied in his literature on concrete reality of the Korean Peninsula. To read thoroughly his posthumous poem <music of Man ji> intends to find out his poetic awareness in which a poet thinks about the special reality of the Korean Peninsula and intends to find out newly and seriously our national literature of 21st century. In fact <music of Man ji> is the poem which a poet formed anti-foreign power and separate awareness pointed consistently in the 1960s. This work is examined three parts according to tracks of thinking. Though this poem is consisted of six stanza, it is consisted of three meaning parts. The first and second stanza is the form world in which the legend of Asadal and Asanyea who are the origin of the poetic encapsulation was appropriated in the poetic awareness. The third and forth stanza is the awareness of reality about the Korean Peninsula in the world situation. The fifth and sixth stanza is the singing of future prospect of a poet.
