푸코의 ‘철학적 훈련’과 지눌의 ‘수행적 실천’이 지향하는 실존 양상의 비판적 함축에 대하여

본 논문은 지식과 권력의 복합체이자 성적 주체인 근대적 주체개념에서 벗어나 실존의 미학을 주장하는 푸코의 윤리적 논의를 기반으로 이와는 다른 맥락에서 수행과 실천을 통해 존재의 변화를 시도하는 한국의 선불교의 주창자 지눌의 주장을 비교함으로써 근대적 주체형성의 역사와는 구별되는 새로운 주체화의 가능성을 타진해 보려고 한다. 이를 위해 일차적으로 도덕과 구분하여 이해하고 있는 푸코의 윤리적 분석의 범주들을 소개, 선불교의 윤리적 내용들에 적용, 분석할 것이며 이차적으로는 비판철학과 종교라는 이질적인 지반에도 불구하고 푸코가 주장하는 ‘철학적 훈련’과 지눌이 주장하는 ‘수행적 실천’이 공유하고 있는 의미의 지평을 추적함으로써 한국 선불교가 지향하고 있는 구도의 정신에 주목하고 이것이 척박한 근대의 자기 관계의 주체 역사에 있어서 어떠한 대안적 가치를 함의하는지 비판 철학적 의의를 함께 드러내고자 한다.
Abstract
In this paper, based on the Foucaudian claims away from the concept of the modern subject produced by tight bond of power and knowledge, sexual discourses, towards aesthetic of existence, which is based on performance and practice in the context of the present advocates of Ginul's Zen Buddhism in Korea, By comparing with the claims of Ginul formation, I will elucidated the critical perspective on the history of the modern subject is distinctively shown the feasibility of a new principal. For this purpose, primarily by separating the morality, this paper examines Focaudian formation of four-fold ethical categories and understanding and then applied these categories to Ginul's ethical content. Secondly, it makes it help to see Foucaudian claims of 'philosophical askesis 'and Ginul's claim 'performative practice' sharing same horizon of pursuing the spirit of sprituality in spite of their heterogeneous soils. By tracking the composition of the Korea-oriented spirit of Zen is to focus on their relationship as alternative value with the implication that the significance of philosophical criticism to be revealed in this harsh modern history of subjectivication.
