Abstract

The Joseon-ness in the Literature after the Munjang (문장) Camp: Focusing on the Tragical in Dong-Re Kim Fictions; Jo, Hyeon-IlThis thesis discusses Dong-Re Kim’s literature that took over ‘Joseon-ness’ of the Munjang and made the original world. He introduced the world of folklore instead of the world of the classics. It was related to the discourses of folklore which were discused in diverse dimensions. However he upset the modern representation-system by means of creating the mythical in the world of folklore. He went a step farther and developed the conception of ‘the rhythm of nature’. He achieved the original concept of ‘fate’ and created ‘the tragic’ which consisted in the ecstasy of ‘the rhythm of nature’. His aesthetics grasped the nature of the aesthetic and therefore was of importance. But it distorted the fate of a tragedy and 문장 파 이후의 문학에 나타난 ‘조선적인 것’ 121because the ethical was lost it was in the flaw of aestheticism. His ‘the tragic’ is necessarily conected with ‘the politic’ It was created on the base of an anti-liberalism and a tragic worldview which gave emphasis to a emergency. And It did the politic action in the most fundamental level which distinguished comrade and enemy.
