Abstract
In Buddhism, there are many practices. It is inappropriate to say which one is the best. There are many ways to practice. However, the result of the practice is the same. Among the various practices, this paper is meant to show that the results of practicing can be achieved simply by listening to the Buddha's teachings. When we say "listening" in general, it has a completely different meaning than when we say "listening" at the level of Buddhist practice. At the level of Buddhist practice, "listening(聽聞)" means putting aside one's ideas and attachments, fully accepting the teaching, and reflecting without asserting one's ideas or viewpoint. The "practice" is to let go of one's own ideas and attachments. In this paper, we have tried to show, through various examples from the sacred texts, that "listening" can be an excellent practice. Through this, I have tried to say that Buddhist practice is not unique and difficult. Perhaps the conceit of "I know" is the most important point in the practice of listening. If you put down your pride and listen to the truth, you can change your life through small enlightenment, even if it is not the ultimate enlightenment. Listening to Buddha's teachings and thinking well about them is the process of "listening practice. You will certainly gain something if you practice this correctly. And in light of today's reality, I think this practice is the most effective way to appeal to modern people.
