ACTS 신학과 북한선교 -교회연합운동과 교회회복운동을 중심으로

Abstract

In this paper, I focus on how, among the ACTS theological movements, the Church Union Movement and Church Restoration Movement, could have an impact on North Korean missions and unification of the Korean Peninsula. In addition, I examine the implications of the Christian unification movement, preparation for unification of the Korean Peninsula, and Christian exchanges between North and South Korea. If we look at the causes of division of Korea from a Christian perspective, we find that various arguments exist within Christianity, such as the missionary division policy, the theory of the cause of shrine worship, and the process of training the nation. I examine Pastor Gwang-Sun Seo’s work with the Church Union Movement as well as Pastor Yang-Won Son’s work with the Church Restoration Movement. In addition, Korean Christianity must contribute to safeguarding both the hard-built economy and the democracy which was achieved through struggle and sacrifice. We must go beyond the level of protection and make it mature. There is no grand preparation for unification. We need only to maintain a proper democracy politically and economically, and create a healthy society that is rich, that does not have a large gap between the rich and the poor, a society with free and open communication. We must make Korea an attractive society. So, as iron is attracted to a magnet, North Korea will naturally want to become one with our society. We must not forget that making it a democratic and more livable society is the most basic and powerful preparation for unification. We Christians need to be actively involved in this, so there is much work for ACTS to do to train church leaders. We Christians must lay the foundation of Christian love in the matter of unification with North Korea. It is also necessary to add strength to reaching an agreement between the South and the South and between the South and the North. To this end, Korean Christians should engage in the Church Union Movement and Church Restoration Movement. We must launch a movement for justice domestically, a movement for peace internationally, and a campaign to end hostile relations with North Korea. We must nurture believers with the right theology based on the truth of Jesus, as it is revealed to us through ACTS theological synoptic movement. So, if we continue to promote the Church Union Movement and Church Restoration Movement, the road to national evangelization will naturally open.
