본 연구는 한국의 박노해와 중국의 정소경을 중심으로 양국의 노동시를 비교함으로써, 한중 산업화 시기의 노동자 현실과 그 문학적 형상화 방식의 공통점과 차이점을 규명하고자 한다. 박노해와 정소경은 직접 노동 현장 경험을 바탕으로 노동자의 신체적․정신적 고통을 생생히 재현했다. 이들은 자본주의적 생산구조의 폭력성, 노동의 비인간화, 계층 갈등을 고발하며, 노동자의 집단적 운명과 구조적 문제를 지적했다. 또한 모두 노동자의 신체적 고통과 정신적 절망, 그리고 연대와 저항의 가능성을 시에 담아내며, 사회의 최하층 목소리를 문학적으로 발화하는 데 집중한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 박노해는 한국의 산업화 속 노동 운동과 결합된 저항 정신을 강조한다면, 정소경은 중국 농민공의 도시 이주 경험을 반영하여 ‘조용한 저항’을 전개한다. 두 시인의 작품은 각국의 정치․경제적 맥락을 반영하지만, 노동자 계층의 보편적 고통과 문학적 저항의 가능성을 보여준다는 점에서 동아시아 노동 문학의 지평을 확장하며, 이는 글로벌 자본주의체제 하에서의 인문학적 성찰로 이어질 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to compare the labor poetry of South Korea’s Park No-hae and China’s Zheng Xiaoqiong, exploring the similarities and differences in the realities of workers and their literary representation during the industrialization periods of both countries. Both Park and Zheng vividly depict the physical and mental anguish of workers through firsthand experiences in labor environments. They expose the violence inherent in capitalist production structures, the dehumanization of labor, and class conflicts, while highlighting the collective fate of workers and systemic societal issues. Their poetry captures the bodily suffering, spiritual despair, and potential for solidarity and resistance among workers, giving literary voice to the marginalized. However, while Park No-hae emphasizes a spirit of resistance intertwined with South Korea’s labor movements, Zheng Xiaoqiong reflects the urban migration experiences of Chinese rural migrant workers, articulating a form of “quiet resistance.” Though their works are rooted in distinct political and economic contexts, they collectively expand the horizons of East Asian labor literature by revealing the universal struggles of the working class and the possibility of literary resistance. This comparative analysis ultimately contributes to broader humanistic reflections on the global capitalist system.
