전쟁양상 변화에 따른 한국의 병역제도 연구

Abstract

Changes in warfare patterns are directly related to the development of a weapon system in which military technology is integrated. It is the development and efficient operation of weapons systems that can try conclusions with the warfare in the history of war. Defense science and technology, evolving in accordance with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is leading to the development of leading edge weapon systems. Modern weapon systems are represented in modifiers such as diversification, high-tech and densification, and the expertise and efficiency of human resources are emphasized. As the leading edge weapon systems forms the principal axis on the battlefield, the importance of acquiring, retaining, and utilizing skilled professionals also increased in terms of military employment forces. Thus, I would like to suggest the development direction of the Korean military with the following research purposes. This study aims to find out an employment force system that can effectively respond to changes in warfare patterns in line with the development of leading edge weapon systems. In other words, it analyzes the military service type suitable for the operation of advanced weapon systems among the types of military service systems that constitute the military employment service system. To this end, my intention is to present the development direction of the Korean military by drawing factors for the employment forces for efficient use of weapons systems and analyzing them for the merits and demerits of the conscription system and volunteer military system.
