이 글에서는 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁의 복합적 원인을 역사적 흐름에따라 정리함으로써, 전쟁의 종식을 위한 대안에 대해 상상해 보고자한다. 크게 두 부분으로 나누어 정리할 것이다. 첫째는 전쟁의 먼 원인[遠因]으로서, 유럽의 기독교 문화권에 의한유대인의 게토화, 프랑스혁명 이후 진행된 게토로부터의 해방, 그 뒤등장한 시온주의 운동에 대해 알아보겠다. 둘째는 비교적 가까운 원인[近因]으로서, 시온주의자들이 주도한이스라엘의 건국과 가자의 게토화에 대해 알아보겠다. 특히 이 두 원인을 관통하는 ‘시온주의’의 개념과 그 현실화 과정에 집중할 것이다. 시온주의는 이스라엘과 팔레스타인의 갈등 과정에서 두루 발견되는 사태의 주요 원인이자 갈등을 지속시키는 동력 가운데 하나이다. 전쟁의 종식을 위한 비전을 상상하는 데 간과할 수 없는 이스라엘 특유의 이데올로기로서, 시온주의는 한편에서는 유대인의 민족적 정체성을 구성하고 신화화하는 데 기여하면서도, 다른 한편에서는 신화화및 역사화를 통해 그 자체도 구성되어 온 과정적 형성물이다. 전술한두 가지 역사적 원인과 시온주의의 역사에 대한 이해를 통해 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁의 현재와 미래를 가늠할 수 있는 적절한 기초를 찾아 보고자 한다.
Abstract
In this article, I would like to imagine alternatives to the end of the war by looking at the complex causes of the Israel-Hamas War according to Israel's macro-historical flow. I will largely look at it in two parts. The first is the distant cause of war[遠因], which will look at the ghettoization of Jewry by European Christian culture, the emancipation from ghetto after the French Revolution, and the Zionist movement that emerged after that. The second is the relatively close cause[近因], which will look at the founding of the state of Israel and the ghettoization of Palestine in Gaza led by Zionists. In particular, I will focus on the concept of Zionism that penetrates these two causes and the process of its realization. Zionism is one of the main causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the driving force behind it. Zionism is an ideology unique to Israel that cannot be overlooked in imagining the vision for the end of the war, and on the one hand, it contributes to the construction and mythologization of the Jewish national identity, and on the other hand, it is a process formation that it has been made through mythologization and historicalization. Through an understanding of the two historical causes and the history of Zionism mentioned above, I would like to find an appropriate basis for assessing the present and future of the Israel-Hamas War.
