창의적 노화(Creative Aging)의 개념에 관한 고찰: 미술치료의 관점에서

기존의 부정적 이미지로서의 노화개념은 다가오는 초고령화 사회에서 새로운 접근과 수정이 불가피하게 되었다. 미국에서 주창되어온 창의적 노화(Creative Aging)는 문화예술 프로그램을 통한 적극적이고 창의적인 노화를 지지하며 앞으로의 노인 문화예술정책에 중요한 함의로 등장하고 있다. 하지만창의적 노화의 개념은 아직 명확하지 않다. 이 논문에서는 예술치료의 주요 분야인 미술치료 영역의 관점에서 창의적 노화의 구체적 개념을 고찰해보고 한국노인 문화예술 프로그램 정책을 제언하고자 한다.
Abstract
The old concept of aging, which had a strong negative image, needs a new approach and reconsideration in the upcoming super-aging society. A new concept of “Creative Aging” supports an active view of aging, seeing culture and art as a main driving force of various policy programs for the elderly. However, the concept of creative aging is not yet clear. This article examines the concrete conception of creative aging in terms of art therapy, suggesting a cultural policy for the senior arts program in South Korea.
