도시재생지의 장소성변화 토픽모델링 : 대구 방천시장을 사례로

초록

문화콘텐츠에기반을두어성공적으로 도시재생이이루어진지역은사람들의 주목을받으면서 상업화가 진행된다. 그러나 상업화과정에서 급격하게임대료가 상승하고, 이에따라 지역의장소성을형성한기존시설들의강제이주가발생한다. 그결과지역의장소성이약화되고지역의경관을다른지역과비슷하게 만들어 사람들의 관심을 떨어뜨린다. 이는 지역에 수행된 도시재생의 의미를 퇴색시키므로구축된 장소성의 변화를 관찰 및 관리해야 할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 문화콘텐츠를 활용하여도시재생이 이루어진 대구 방천시장을 사례 지역으로 선정하고, 블로그 데이터와 잠재 디리클레 할당(Latent Dirichlet Allocation; LDA) 모델을 활용하여 장소성의 변화를 시계열적으로 탐색 및 분석하였다. 분석결과 방천시장은 추억의 장소, 문화예술프로젝트의 장소, 김광석다시그리길을 바탕으로한 관광지, 먹거리 장소 순으로 장소성이 변하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 김광석다시그리길 토픽의 비율이2012년 이후 지속적으로감소하고 있으므로 도시재생으로 인해형성된 장소성이지속적으로 약화되고있다고 판단된다. 본 연구의 의의는도시재생을 위한 프로젝트가 수행된 지역의 장소성 변화를객관적이고 정량적인 방법으로 분석했다는 것이다.

Abstract

An area where urban regeneration is achieved through the construction of a distinct sense of place based on cultural contents often suffers from a rise of rents that lead to displacement of existing stores. It is highly likely to not only destroy a sense of place of the region but also raise substantial social losses. However, it is hard to find quantified research that examines trend of sense of place in the regenerated area. Daegu Bangcheon Market in which had been implemented in the urban regeneration project based on cultural contents was selected as our study area. The transition of sense of place in the study area was examined by utilising blog data and Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) model. Our findings suggest that sense of place of the study area has changed in order of places of memories, places of culture, tourist attractions based on Kim Gwangseok-gil Street, and places of food. In particular, a proportion of topic of Kim Gwangseok-gil Street in blog data has consistently decreased since 2012, which means a sense of place formed by the urban regeneration project has been constantly lost. Significance of this study is that the transition process of sense of place can be quantitatively and objectively explored.
