본 연구의 목적은 ‘근거이론’을 바탕으로 오토캠핑객의 여가 몰입의 형성과정과 원인에 대해 분석하여 이론적 모형을제시함으로 오토캠핑객의 여가 몰입 활동 참여의 활성화에 필요한 프로그램 및 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 본연구의 목적을 위해 현재 오토캠핑 여가 활동을 하고 있고, 연구자의 연구활동에 호의적이며 적극적인 자세를 유지하는 서울 및 경기지역의 오토캠핑 활동자 7명을 선정하였다. 이렇게 선정된 연구 참여자들은 각 2회의 심층면담 및참여관찰을 실시하여 분석의 자료로 사용하였다. 이렇게 수집된 자료는 전사를 거쳐 Strauss & Corbin(1990, 1998) 의 ‘근거이론’분석방법에 따라 ‘개방코딩’, ‘축코딩’, ‘선택코딩’의 과정으로 오토캠핑객의 여가 몰입 형성과정에 대한결과를 도출하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전사된 자료를 통해 총 158개의 개념을 선택, 하위범주 32개, 상위범주 16개로 범주화시켰다. 둘째, 인과적 조건, 상황적 맥락, 중심현상, 중재적 조건, 상호작용 전략, 결과의 6가지패러다임 축으로 각 범주들이 서로 어떠한 관계를 가지고 있는지 규명하였으며, 오토캠핑객의 여가 몰입 형성과정을‘참여단계’ - ‘진입단계’ - ‘경험단계’ - ‘몰입단계’ - ‘지속단계’의 총 5단계로 나타낼 수 있었다. 셋째, 전체적인이야기 윤곽의 전개를 통해 ‘오토캠핑을 통한 몰입 형성’이라는 핵심범주를 도출하였다. 이를 유형화하여 ‘가족 및구성원 중심형’과 ‘자연탐사 교육형’그리고 ‘자기 안식형’으로 명명하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze auto campers’ formation of leisure flow and the cause of it based on ‘grounded theory’ to present a theoretical model and also provide programs and foundational data needed to vitalize auto campers’ participation in leisure flow activities. To attain the goal, the study selected 7 auto campers residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi, who were performing auto camping leisure activities and were favorable and positive about this researcher’s request for the investigation. The research participants selected in this way went through in-depth interviews and participatory observations twice for each, and the data were used for the analysis. The data collected in this way underwent transcription and were analyzed by the processes of ‘open coding’, ‘axial coding’, and ‘selective coding’ according to the analysis method of Strauss & Corbin (1990, 1998)’s ‘grounded theory’. And the study has gained the results about auto campers’ formation of leisure flow, and they are presented below: First, from the transcription, the study has chosen total of 158 concepts, drawn 32 subcategories and divided them into 16 superordinate categories. Second, this study has examined how each of the categories is related with 6 paradigm axes: causal conditions, situational context, central phenomena, conciliatory conditions, interactive strategies, and results. This axis has been arranged with another attribute and dimension, and based on the data, auto campers’ formation of leisure flow has been organized into total 5 stages: the ‘participation stage’ - ‘entry stage’ - ‘experience stage’ - ‘flow stage’ - ‘continuance stage’. Third, through the development of the overall story outline, the paper has drawn the core category: ‘formation of flow through auto camping’, and by patternizing them, they are named as ‘family and its member orientation’, ‘education with natural exploration’, and ’self-comport’.
