아동의 ADHD 하위유형과 부모의 양육스트레스 및 양육효능감이 부모자녀갈등에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 학령기 아동의 ADHD 하위유형, 부모의 양육스트레스 및 양육효능감이 부모자녀갈등에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 양육스트레스 및 부모자녀갈등의 관계에서 양육효능감의 매개효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 전북지역 초등학생 중 선별검사와 DSM-Ⅳ진단기준에 부합한 아동 643명과 그 부모이다. 아동의 학년은 초등 1학년(318명)과 4학년(325명)이었으며 남아 492명(76.5%), 여아 151명(23.9%)이었다. 아동의 부모와 교사가 K-ARS(2002)를 평가하였으며, 훈련된 조사원이 부모용 DISC-Ⅳ(DISC-P) ADHD 평가모듈을 사용하여 면접하였다. 또한 질문지를 사용하여 부모의 양육스트레스와 양육효능감, 부모자녀갈등을 평가하였다. 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동의 ADHD 하위유형별 분포를 보면, 부주의 우세형 25.3%, 과잉행동-충동성 우세형 11.8%, 혼합형 10.9%, 특정불능 아형이 과반수(51.9%)로 나타났다. 둘째, 회귀분석 결과 아동의 ADHD 유형, 부모의 양육스트레스와 양육효능감은 부모자녀갈등에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변수였으며 설명력은 33%였다. 셋째, 매개효과 검증 결과, 부모의 양육스트레스와 부모자녀갈등의 관계에서 양육효능감이 부분 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of children’s attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) type, parenting stress, and parenting efficacy on parent-child conflict, and to analyze parenting efficacy mediates the relationship between parenting stress and parent-child conflict. The study sample consisted of 643 children (492 boys, 151 girls) with ADHD attending elementary school in Jeonbuk, as well as their parents. The school years were first grade (n=318) and fourth grade (n=325). The parents and teachers of children rated the K-ARS(2002), and research assistants interviewed children using the Parent’s DISC-P/ADHD. The parents answered the questionnaires quantifying parenting stress, parenting efficacy, and parent-child conflict. We found that the distribution of ADHD types in the children was as follows: inattentive type (25.3%), hyperactive-impulsive type (11.8%), combined type (10.9%), and ADHD NOS(not otherwise specified) (51.9%). Regression analysis revealed that the type of ADHD, parenting stress, and parenting efficacy had a significant effect on the parent-child conflict. Finally, parenting efficacy partly mediated the relationship between parenting stress and parent-child conflict.
