본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 훈육유형 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하여 어머니들의 경험적 자료를 수집하였으며 이를 토대로 문항을 제작하여 내용타당도와 인지타당도를 검증하였다. 제작된 예비문항으로 582명의 어머니를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였으며 수정된 문항으로 712명의 어머니를 대상으로 본조사를 실시하여 확인적 요인분석과 타당도 검증을 실시하였다. 개념신뢰도와 분산추출지수를 이용하여 수렴-판별타당도를 검증하였으며, 공인된 타척도와의 상관관계 분석을 통해 공인타당도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 27문항의 훈육척도를 개발하였고 하위요인은 합리적 반응형(9문항), 감정적 반응형(10문항), 과대허용적 반응형(8문항)이라고 명명하였다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 훈육의 의미와 방법에 대한 지속적인 연구의 필요성을 강조하고 부모의 특성에 맞는 교육, 예비부모를 위한 교육 등의 정책을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to develop and validate a parents’ discipline style scale for young children. For this purpose, the empirical data of mothers were collected through a focus group interview, and based on this, items were developed to verify the content and cognitive validity. The survey was conducted on 582 mothers with preliminary items, and exploratory factor analysis was conducted. The main survey was conducted on 712 mothers with modified items, and confirmatory factor analysis and validity verification were conducted. As a result, 27 items were developed and the sub-factors were named rational response type(9 items), emotional response type(10 items), and overly permissive response type(8 items).
