초록
A careful theological reflection on the concrete experience of victims of sexual abuse reveals that the patriarchal theology in the Korean church not only serves as a major obstacle to healing process but also as a crucial instrument to legitimate the abuse of power in the society for certain groups and classes. Borrowing insights from Poling's pastoral theology, this paper focuses on reconstruction of a relational theology as a powerful source for healing victims and transforming the abusive culture. Poling proposes that relationality and ambiguity better explain God-human relationships. Drawing from process theology Poling argues that the pain of the victims of sexual abuse becomes a concrete reality to God, which means God is intimately present with the victims. The relational theology is helpful for pastoral counselors to guide clients to liberation from her/his own prison as the result of internalization of abuse. In accordance with the relational theology, I proposes a practice model using 'friendship metaphor' replacing the dominant metaphor of 'father' as a guide to an effective therapeutic relationship particularly with victims of sexual abuse.
