It is apt to make angry due to marital conflict. Especially, it has necessity and worth to make research about anger since infidelity makes marital couples get angry intensely so often. Anger has diverse effects on couple's psychodynamics, appearing before and after infidelity in couple relationships as a core emotion. In this article, bringing into focus on anger, the researcher tries to analyze psychodynamics of anger due to infidelity with in-depth psychology. A spouse who is hurt by the other spouse's extramarital affair suppresses his or her anger due to fear of divorce or express anger in extreme and destructive ways. In case of suppression, the counselor should help the suffered spouse to confront his or her emotion and express anger appropriately, encouraging the client facilitates his or her anger as energy to change his or her life and couple relationships.
