기독교 폭력으로부터의 해방을 위한 목회 신학적 돌봄 실천 연구 -한국 기독교 내 권위주의문화와 권력중심문화에 대한 성찰을 중심으로-

초록

종교는 삶의 갈등과 문제, 그리고 희망과 소망을 함께 담고 있는 삶의 그릇이다. 특히 기독교와 개신교회는 사랑과 평화의 주체로 타인의 갈등과 소망을 함께 공유하며 서로 위로하고 그 안에서 공감을 이루는 공동체적 목표를 지향한다. 그러나 현재 한국 기독교는 종교 본연의 역할보다는 교세의 확장을 위한 자본력 강화, 교인 수 증가 등 소유 양식에 사로잡힌 모습을 보이며, 이로 인해 비판의 대상, 더 나아가 비난과 혐오의 대상이 되었다. 기독교는 많은 사람들의 인식 속에서 점차 사랑의 주체가 아닌 착취의 주체가 되어가고 있다. 한국에서 기독교는 현재 위기를 맞고 있다. 그러나 기독교는 위기를 인정하지 않거나 인식했더라도 그 원인을 외부적 요인에서 찾으려 한다. 연구자는 다각적 차원의 연구를 통해 한국 기독교 위기의 원인을 찾고자 한다. 본 논문은 그 연구의 일부로, 최근 기독교가 비난과 혐오를 겪게 된 원인인 기독교 내 권위주의문화와 이를 위한 권력중심문화에 대한 분석을 시도한 결과이다. 기독교의 위기를 인식하게 된 증상들의 원인은 외부 요인이 아닌 내부 요인에 있다. 즉 기독교가 스스로 자처한 것이다. 이러한 모습들은 예수 그리스도의 정신을 기초로 한 기독교의 모습과 동떨어져 있으며, 이로 인해 기독교인들과 비기독교인들 모두 기독교에 대한 희망을 잃고 고통스러워한다. 기독교는 기독교인들이나 비기독교인들 모두의 상처입은 마음과 분노-혐오의 마음을 돌봐야할 책임이 있다. 연구자는 본 연구를 통해 권위주의문화와 권력중심문화에 잠식된 기독교가 예수의 정신으로 회복된 기독교의 모습으로 나아가기 위한 노력의 근거와 실천적 적용에 관해 논하였다.

Abstract

Religion serves as a vessel of life that brings together the conflicts and problems of life, and hope. In particular, Christianity and the church, which should be the exemplars of love and peace, share the conflicts and desires of others and aim for a collective goal of mutual consolation and mutual respect. However, modern Korean Christianity does not consider its essential role to be religion, but is focused on strengthening capital power and increasing the number of members in order to expand Christianity. For this reason, Christianity has become the object of criticism, and moreover, the object of repulsion. Christianity is becoming the symbol of exploitation, not the symbol of love, in the minds of people. Recently, Christianity in Korea is in crisis. However, even if Christianity does not recognize the Christian crisis or even views it as a crisis, it tries to find its cause due to external factors. I am trying to find the cause of the present Korean Christian crisis through various approaches. As a part of this study, this paper is an attempt to analyze the authoritarian culture and powermonger in Christianity. The cause of the Christian crisis is not the result of external factors but of internal factors. In other words, the crisis of Christianity was caused by Christianity itself. Recently, the negative aspects of Korean Christianity have become far removed from true Christianity based on the spirit of Jesus Christ, and both Christians and non-Christians lose their expectations of Christianity and incur pain and suffering. Christianity has a responsibility to care for the wounded hearts and angry minds of both Christians and non-Christians. Through this study, I discuss the basis and practical method of efforts to transform Christianity, which was wounded by authoritarian culture and powermonger, into a Christianity that restores the spirit of Jesus Christ.
