본 연구는 개인투자자들의 과거 주식 투자행동이 매매 시 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인투자자들은 과거에 이익을 경험했던 종목을 재 매수하려는 성향이 손실을 경험했던 종목을 재 매수하려는 성향보다 더 크게 나타났다. 둘째, 과거에 이익을 보든 손실을 보든 주식을 매도한 후 상승종목 보다 하락 종목을 재 매수하려는 성향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 과거 매수 후 보유종목에서도 매수 이후 주가가 상승한 종목보다 하락한 종목을 추가 매수하려는 성향이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze how individual investors' past stock investment behavior affects their trading. The research results are as follows. First, individual investors showed a greater propensity to repurchase stocks that experienced gains in the past than their propensity to repurchase stocks that experienced losses. Second, it was found that there is a tendency to repurchase declining stocks rather than rising stocks after selling stocks, regardless of whether they made a profit or a loss in the past. Third, it was found that there is a tendency to buy more stocks that have fallen in price than stocks whose stock price has risen since purchase.
