디지털 인문학 연구센터의 온라인 콘텐츠 요소 및 서비스 운영 방향에 관한 연구: 미국 연구중심 대학을 중심으로

본 연구는 국내 대학의 디지털 인문학(DH, Digital Humanities) 연구센터에서 실제적으로 서비스 할 수 있는 온라인 콘텐츠 요소와 운영 방향을 제안하고자 미국의 연구중심 대학 39개 DH 연구센터의 웹사이트를 중심으로 운영 현황및 온라인 콘텐츠를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, DH 연구센터의 운영 기관은 대학도서관, 학과 연계, 대학 내 독립 DH 연구센터 등 3개의 유형으로 나타났다. 또한, DH 연구센터에서 온라인 콘텐츠로 가장 많이 제공하는 요소는 인력/조직 (100%), 미션(비전)(97%), 정보원(92%) 순으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 국내 대학에서 DH 연구센터를 주축으로 한 온라인 콘텐츠 서비스의 가이드를 설정하는 데 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
Abstract
In order to propose online content elements and service operational strategy that can be applied to DH(Digital Humanities) research centers in domestic universities, this study analyzed the operation status and online content of 39 DH research centers in research-oriented universities in the United States. Based on the needs identified in previous studies, nine online content elements that should be provided by DH research centers were identified: 1) mission(vision), 2) people and organization, 3) projects, 4) data, 5) teaching methods and educational programs, 6) tools and technologies, 7) funding, 8) information sources, and 9) publication and consultation. As a result of the study, three types of DH research centers were found: independent DH research centers within universities, organizations within university libraries, and departmental associations. In addition, the most common elements that DH research centers provide as online content were people/organization, 39(100%), and mission(vision), 38(97%). The results of this study can be used as a basis for setting guidelines for online content services of DH research centers in domestic universities in the future.
