스페인어 제한적 관계절 Quesuismo에서 명사 선행 소유사의 통사적 역할

본 연구는 스페인어 제한적 관계절의 한 유형인 소위 Quesuismo(cf. RAE- ASALE(2009)))라 일컬어지는 소유관계절의 통사적 특성을 살펴보고 이에 대해 면밀한 분석을 진행하고자 한다. Quesuismo란 일반적으로 소유관계절을 형성하기 위해 단일 형태인 소유관계사 cuyo가 사용되지 않고 비단일 형태인 <que + su>가 사용되는 유형으로 Suñer(1998)의 경우는 이를 제한적 재술관계절이라고 규정하기도 하였다. 스페인어 규범문법에서는 소유관계사의 표준적 사용으로 단일 형태인 cuyo를 권장하지만 현대 스페인어 구어에서는 <que + su> 형태가 널리 사용되는 실정이다. Kayne(1994)와 De Vries(2006)의 관계절 핵인상 분석에 입각하여 본 연구는 비단일 형태인 <que + su>를 동반하는 스페인어 제한적 소유관계절에서 선행사로 기능하는 POSSESSOR의 이동과 명사 선행 소유사의 출현의 원인을 분석해보고자 한다.
Abstract
In this paper, the syntactic properties of the so-called Quesuismo construction in Spanish (cf. RAE-ASALE (2009)) are thoroughly described and analyzed. The Quesuismo construction shows a non-integrated type of possessive relative <que + su>, also characterized as a resumptive restrictive relative clause (cf. Suñer (1998)). This type is not recommended within prescriptive grammar as the standard use of the Spanish possessive relative is the integrated type cuyo. But in current colloquial Spanish, there remains a wide-spread tendency to use the type <que + su>. Based on the Head Raising Analysis of Kayne (1994) and De Vries (2006), we will try to show the reasons why the raising of the POSSESSOR and the realization of the prenominal possessive SU are required in the Spanish restrictive possessive relative clause with the non-integrated type of <que + su>.
