초록
We analyzed the impact of the heavy snowfall occurred from Feb. 10 to Feb. 14, 2011 on theinbound daily traffic volume of the Gangneung Highway Tollgate using time series regression models. We found that the maximum reduction rate of inbound highway traffic volume during the heavy snowfallperiod is 70%. The inbound traffic volume increased steadily to normal inbound traffic volume after 2 to4 days from the date when the snowfall stopped. The reason why 2 to 4 days are needed to reach normalinbound traffic volume is that it took substantial time to clear snow from the roads.
