초록

This study has analyzed the correlation between altitude and climate for 40 automatic meteorological observation sites in 5 topographic cross sections. The air temperature and precipitation are suggested as climatic factors that have a clear correlation with altitude above sea level. As the elevation increases, the temperature decreases markedly. The factor that has the greatest influence on the temperature distribution is altitude, and geographical location and local topographic conditions also have some influence. The precipitation also increases markedly with elevation. The distribution of precipitation is affected not only by altitude, but also by aspect and distance from coast.

Abstract

This study has analyzed the correlation between altitude and climate for 40 automatic meteorological observation sites in 5 topographic cross sections. The air temperature and precipitation are suggested as climatic factors that have a clear correlation with altitude above sea level. As the elevation increases, the temperature decreases markedly. The factor that has the greatest influence on the temperature distribution is altitude, and geographical location and local topographic conditions also have some influence. The precipitation also increases markedly with elevation. The distribution of precipitation is affected not only by altitude, but also by aspect and distance from coast.
