본 연구는 바흐친의 이론에 기초하여, 스페인 육군 종합군사학교(Academia General Militar)의 행진가에 나타난 카니발성과 대화성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 우리는 2022-2023 군가집에 수록된 군가 총 36곡 가운데 비공식 군가와 병영 군가의 특징을 지닌 행진가 27곡을 연구 대상으로 설정했다. 본 연구 는 스페인 생도대 행진가에서 전복과 해방의 카니발성이 어떻게 재현되는지, 대화 적 관계는 군가에서 어떻게 설정되고 있는지 그 주체와 방식을 고찰하였다. 본 연 구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생도대 행진가의 모든 부분, 즉 패러디 형식, 그로 테스크한 내용, 언어에서 카니발성이 확인된다. 둘째, 스페인 생도들은 행진가를 가 창하며 이상이 아닌 일상에서 카니발의 크로노토프를 향유하고, 고된 군대 생활을 극복하는 ‘웃음’을 노래한다. 셋째, 행진가의 주제는 나 혹은 상·하급자와의 대화로, 기존 군가의 단강세성을 극복하고 생도의 이야기를 다성적으로 풀어낸다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the Marchas Militares for cadets at the Academia General Militar of the Spanish Army with a focus on the carnivaleque and dialogism as defined by Bakhtin. This research examines the 27 marching songs, drawn from a total of 36 military songs included in the 2022-2023 Cancionero Militar. The investigation centers on the portrayal of carnivaleque and dialogic nature including subversion, liberation, parody, grotesque within theses marching songs. The findings of this study confirm the following points. First, the characteristics of carnival permeate all facets of the marching songs: their parodic style, and grotesque contents and language. Second, Spanish cadets participate in the chronotope in their daily lives. This engagement entails subverting hierarchy, employing mockery, satire and ridicule directed at their superiors and their challenges of their demanding military life, all underscored by ‘laughter’. Third, the thematic content of the marching songs engages in a dialogue, both with oneself or one’s superiors and subordinates, which overcomes the uniaccentualization of the traditional military songs and presents the cadet’s narrative in a polyphonic manner.
