· Research topics: A Study on the Status of Sewing Factories in Jangwi-dong · Research background: The apparel sewing industry, an important part of the domestic urban manufacturing industry, is declining as the city's industrial structure becomes a service. However, manufacturing plays an important role in the national industry, so a strategy to preserve and grow is needed. In order to prepare a more accurate response, it is necessary to grasp the actual status of the industry. · Differences from prior research: Previous studies have taken a macroscopic approach based on the overall status of the domestic apparel sewing industry. This study presents development plans based on practical contents with Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, which plays an important role in the clothing sewing industry in Seoul. · Research method: Proposal of direction through literature research and survey · Research results: First, a differentiation strategy is needed. Finding the direction of growth as a production area specializing in Daimaru products is expected to be more accurate in the strategy of maximizing the advantages of the region. Second, it is necessary to brand it with product planning power. In order to survive the clothing sewing company in Jangwi-dong, it is necessary to develop its own brand based on rapid production responsiveness. Third, it is necessary to reorganize the manpower structure through production digitalization and automation. · Contribution points and expected effects: It is expected that it can be provided as basic data when establishing policies for the domestic urban manufacturing industry.
