Abstract
· Research topics: This study examines the differences in the perceptions of the concept of 'student success' as a strategic goal in universities among key stakeholder(students, parents, and professors) and analyzes the content of these perceptual differences. · Research background: In regional small&medium-sized private universities, 'student success' is seen as a survival strategy beyond academic achievement. However, there is limited empirical research on the perceptual differences among stakeholders, which hampers effective policy implementation. · Differences from prior research: This study stands out by providing an empirical analysis that was previously unexplored, comparing the perceptions of student success across all key stakeholders. · Research method: The study used a Chi-square test and Cramer's V to analyze perceptual differences and their associations. A multiple response and frequency analysis identified the specific perceptions and priorities of each group. · Research results: Significant perceptual differences were found, though the associations were weak. All groups recognized 'deep subject knowledge,' 'goal setting and achievement,' and 'employment' as key factors, but professors emphasized extracurricular activities, while students and parents prioritized academic and career success. · Contribution points and expected effects: The study provides valuable foundational data that can inform future policy-making and decision-making in university settings.
