본 연구의 목적은 초등교사 인공지능 리터러시 정의와 구성 요인을 탐색하고, 이를 바탕으로 측정 도구를 개발해 타당화하는 것이다. 첫째, 선행연구 분석으로 정의와 구성 요인을 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 문항 초안을 작성하였다. 둘째, 예비조사에서 델파이 조사 2회로 내용 타당도를 확인해 본 조사 문항 22개를 확정했다. 셋째, 본 조사에서는 현직 초등교사 342명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고, 172명의 응답은 탐색적 요인분석에, 170명의 응답은 확인적 요인분석에 활용해 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 초등교사 인공지능 리터러시는 ‘인공지능의 기본 원리를 이해하고, 인공지능 기술을 교육적 상황에 맞게 적절히 활용하고 비판적인 시각으로 평가하며, 인공지능으로 인한 사회의 변화에 따라 전문성을 개발하고 교육자로서 올바른 인공지능을 함양할 수 있는 역량’으로 정의되었으며, 측정 도구는 인공지능 이해(5문항), 활용 및 평가(5문항), 전문성 개발(5문항), 윤리(4문항) 4개 요인, 총 19개 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 연구는 초등교사의 인공지능 리터러시 역량을 진단할 수 있는 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증된 측정 도구를 개발했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the definition and components of AI literacy for elementary school teachers and to develop and validate a corresponding measurement tool. First, the definition and key components were derived through a review of previous studies, which informed the development of a draft survey. Second, content validity was confirmed through two rounds of Delphi surveys during a preliminary investigation, resulting in a finalized set of 22 items. Third, a main survey was conducted with 342 in-service elementary school teachers. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted with 172 responses and confirmatory factor analysis with 170 responses to verify the tool’s validity and reliability. As a result, AI literacy for elementary school teachers was defined as the capacity to (1) understand fundamental principles of AI, (2) appropriately apply AI technologies in educational contexts, (3) critically evaluate them, (4) develop professional competencies in response to AI-driven societal change, and (5) cultivate ethical AI practices as educators. The final measurement tool consisted of 19 items across four factors: understanding AI (5 items), utilization and evaluation (5 items), professional development (5 items), and ethics (4 items). This study is meaningful in that it provides a reliable and valid instrument for assessing elementary school teachers’ AI literacy.
