Abstract

The Yoorimdan(Confucian Scholars) independence movement, which is symmetric to Pari Jangseo, is attracting attention from the anti-Japanese movement history. This independence movement was centered on the Seongju region. Unlike the rest of the region, the 3.1 movement in Seongju region is an extraordinary basis established by close communication and solidarity between Yurims and ordinary people. These two are places where the anti-Japanese movement in Seongju region can have a national meaning beyond locality, unlike other regions. In this regard, households and figures that are indispensable are Yaseongsongmun and Kongsan Song Jun-pil. This study highlights the academic world of Song Jun-pil. And his anti-Japanese activities and prison life will be empirically reviewed, focusing on Tong-go Kuknaemun and Pari Jangseo. As a result, we looked at the driving force that was able to lead the groundwork of the Yurims' anti-Japanese movement history in Seongju region and achieve outstanding results in the 3.1 Movement.
