중·소 대논쟁과 반수정주의적 마르크스-레닌주의의 형성 : 이행의 문제를 중심으로

본고는 1956~1964년에 걸쳐 이루어진 중 · 소 대논쟁의 과정과 그 후과인 ‘반수정주의적 마르크스-레닌주의’의 형성을 문헌적인 검토를 통해 추적한다. 흐루쇼프의 (현대)수정주의와 그에 대항하는 반수정주의 사이에 중국공산당이 그은 경계선은 단순히 전후 국제공산주의운동의 이념적 변화를 일탈로 규정하고 스탈린 시대의노선으로 회귀하고자 하는 시도가 아니다. (현대)수정주의와 반수정주의 사이의 경계선 긋기는 ‘사회주의 사회에서 자본주의가 재활성화될 수 있는가’라는 ‘이행의 문제’, 즉 당대 국제공산주의운동이 마주하고 있던 중대한 내적 모순을 지시하는 것이다. 이러한 점에서 대논쟁 과정에서 수행된 중국공산당의 이론화는 국제공산주의운동의 역사에 대한 전면적 재검토와 이론적 발전을 내장한 종합이었다고 평가될 수있다. 이러한 관점을 바탕으로 본고는 먼저 마오쩌둥과 마르크스주의 ‘이행론’을 검토하여 수정주의-반수정주의의 대립항이 이행의 문제에서 갖는 함의를 도출할 것이다. 뒤이어 대논쟁의 전개와 그 과정에서 형성된 ‘반수정주의적 마르크스-레닌주의’ 가 갖는 함의와 후과를 문헌적 접근을 통해 살펴보게 될 것이다. 이를 통해 본고는‘미완의 기획’으로서의 반수정주의가 오늘날의 마르크스주의자들에게 제공하는 시사점과 과제를 제시할 것이다.
Abstract
This article traces the course of the Sino-Soviet Great Debate of 1956-1964 and the subsequent formation of 'Anti-revisionist Marxism-Leninism' through a literature review. The line drawn by the Communist Party of China (CPC) between Khrushchev's modern revisionism and anti-revisionism is not simply an attempt to characterize the post-war ideological transformation of the International Communist Movement as an aberration and to return to the Stalinist line. The demarcation points to a crucial internal contradiction facing the international communist movement at the time, namely the 'question of transition': can capitalism be restored within a socialist society? In this respect, the CPC's position was a synthesis incorporating a comprehensive review of the movement’s history and its theoretical development. Based on this perspective, this article will first examine Mao Zedong's and the Marxist 'theory of transition'. This is followed by a literature review of the Great Debate and the meaning and aftermath of 'Anti-revisionist Marxism-Leninism.' In doing so, the article will present the implications and challenges of anti-revisionism as an unfinished project for Marxists today.
