RFID 미들웨어 플랫폼 기술

Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has recently received a lot of attention as an augmentation technology in the ubiquitous computing domain and, as it has demonstrated the potential to enhance efficiencies of activities across business process, many research activities toward the real deployment are in progress. In this paper, we give the technical analysis of RFID middleware platform which is a new class of software platform which facilities data and information communication between automatic identification equioment -especially, RFID readers - and eenterprise applications and review some of major RFID middleware solutions available on the market. Moreover,the recent trends of both national and international RFID standards proposed by RFID standard development organizations including EPCglobal and ISO/IEC JTC1 are invstigated in terms of RFID middleware platform. Finally, we describe the research directions of RFID middleware platform for next generation.
