방송 및 통신환경의 디지털화로 인하여 디지털 방송은 고품질의 콘텐츠를 이용한 다채널 및 다기능 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 대량의 디지털 콘텐츠를 생산해내는 방송은 이러한 측면에서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 산업에 막대한 영향을미칠 수 있다. 더욱이 콘텐츠의 창작, 편집 및 저장을 위한 디지털 장비들은 가격이 저렴할 뿐 아니라 다루기도 손쉬워지고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠는 디지털이라는 속성으로 인해 쉽게 복제되고 처리될 수 있다. 그러나 디지털화로 인한 장점들은 콘텐츠를 불법으로 복제, 수정 및 배포하는 불법 사용자들에게 역시 이용될 수 있으며 저작권에 심각한 문제를 야기 시킬 수 있다. 따라서 디지털 콘텐츠를 보호하고 관리할 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 일은 대단히 시급한 과제이다. 본 논문에서는 방송환경에서의 콘텐츠 보호 및 관리를 위한 프레임워크에 대하여 분석하였으며 관련 연구 동향 및 요소기술에 대하여 알아보았다. 그리고 콘텐츠 저작권 보호 및 관리를 위한 요소기술을 적용한디지털 방송 콘텐츠 서버 시스템을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Due to the digitalization of broadcasting and communication environment, digital broadcasting can provide multi-function and multi-channel service with high quality digital content. This can affect multimedia content industry by and large. Moreover, digital facilities for content creation, edition, and storage are cheap and easy to handle. In such an environment, multimedia content can be easily copied and processed by its digital property. However, these capabilities can be also available to pirates who copy, modify and distribute the digital content by violating copyright of content owner. This can cause a serious problem on copyright. Therefore it is very urgent to devise a system that can guarantee the digital contents to be protected and managed. In this paper, we investigated the framework for content protection and management in broadcasting environment and surveyed the technical trends and technologies. And, we also proposed server system for digital broadcasting content protection and management.
