단회 채팅상담의 상담자 언어반응분석 -자살위기청소년 사례를 중심으로-

초록

본 연구의 목적은 채팅상담을 통하여 도움을 요청하는 자살위기청소년들에게 효과적으로 개입하기 위한 기초자료를 얻는 것이다. 청소년들이 선호하는 매체상담 중 하나인 채팅상담은 대면상담과 유사하나 문자로 상담자의 언어반응이 전달된다는 독특성 때문에 채팅상담자의 언어반응이 면밀하게 분석될 필요가 있었다. 연구를 위해 Russell-Chapin과 Ivey(2004)의 상담면접평정양식(CIRF)과 Hill(1981)의 상담자 언어반응 유목체계를 기초로 19개의 ‘채팅상담 언어반응’을 구성하였다. 구성된 채팅상담 언어반응목록에 따라 자살이나 죽고 싶다는 내용을 호소한 9개 채팅사례의 상담자 반응을 평정하고, 이를 합의하에 마무리된 사례, 내담자가 일방적으로 나간 사례, 상담자가 일방적으로 마무리한 사례의 세 군으로 분류하여 상담자의 반응 특징을 비교해보았다. 그 결과 사이버상담자들이 가벼운 격려, 감정반영, 지시 등을 효과적으로 사용할 때 상담이 원만하게 진행되는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 근거로 효과적인 채팅상담을 위한 매뉴얼 및 훈련의 필요성과 위기개입체계의 필요성이 논의되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate chatting counselor's verbal responses and to get a basis of effective intervention for adolescents with suicidal crisis. Chat counseling is a medium counseling which adolescents prefer. Chat counseling is similar to the face to face counseling but also it is unique in interacting with text only. So the verbal responses of chat counseling are needed to investigate carefully. In order to study text responses of chat counseling, the Chat Counseling Response Form(CCRF) was developed based on the Counseling Interview Rating Form(Russell-Chapin & Ivey, 2004) and Hill(1981)'s Counseling Response Category. Finally 19 categories for chat counseling response form were constructed. 9 cases which appealed suicide crisis were analyzed on the basis of the CCRF. The results showed that successful chat counselors tended to use the minimal encourager, reflect feeling, directives mainly. This study suggested that a chat counseling manual for counselor training and crisis intervention system on web would be needed.
