아동의 정서인식의 명확성, 정서강도, 컴퓨터 게임중독간의 관계

본 연구는 정서경험 특성 중 정서인식의 명확성과 정서강도가 컴퓨터 게임중독과 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 성차에 따라 살펴보았으며, 정서인식의 명확성과 정서강도가 조합되면서 어떤 자연발생적인 군집이 형성되는지, 이러한 정서경험의 개인차가 컴퓨터 게임중독과 어떤 관계가 있는지를 알아보고자 했다. 이를 위해 경기지역의 초등학교 5, 6학년생 총 404명이 연구에 참여했다. 성별에 따른 변인들의 차이와 관계를 알아보기 위해 t-test와 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 정서인식의 명확성에서는 남녀별 차이가 없었고, 정서강도에서는 여학생이 남학생보다 높은 수준의 정서강도를 나타냈다. 각 변인들과의 상관관계를 살펴보면, 정서인식의 명확성과 정서강도는 낮은 정도의 정적 상관을 보였고, 정서인식의 명확성과 컴퓨터 게임중독은 부적상관을 보였으며, 정서강도와 컴퓨터 게임중독 간에는 하위요인에서 낮은 정도의 정적 상관을 보였다. 이어서, 정서인식의 명확성과 정서강도를 중심으로 성별 군집 유형 분포와 군집 프로파일을 알아보기 위해 2단계 군집분석을 실시하고, 군집별 정서경험 수준의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 일원 변량분석을 실시한 결과, 4개 집단(안정적 집단, 무딘 집단, 격렬한 집단, 압도되는 집단)으로 구분되었고, 군집의 분포는 성별에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 정서경험의 수준에서도 군집별로 모두 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 다음으로 군집분석을 통해 나누어진 각 집단이 컴퓨터 게임중독의 측면에서 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 다변량분석을 실시한 결과, 정서강도가 높고 정서인식의 명확성이 낮은 압도되는 집단이 다른 세 집단에 비해 컴퓨터 게임중독으로 인한 문제를 겪을 가능성이 크다. 이러한 결과들을 토대로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점 그리고 앞으로의 연구방향에 대해 언급하였다.
Abstract
This study looked into how emotional clarity and emotional intensity from among characteristics of emotional experience are related to computer game addiction according to gender difference, against 404 fifth and sixth graders in elementary school . Also, the study aimed to seek ways to help children who are experiencing poor adaptation like game addiction by discovering the difference shown in computer game addiction according to the pattern and level of clusters and a profile by cluster in emotional experience, revealed around the average of emotional clarity and emotional intensity. With collected data, by using the SPSS 15.0 program, undertook the t-test in order to determine any difference in the average among each of the variables between genders. In addition, so as to discover the relationship among research variables (emotional clarity, emotional intensity, and computer game addiction), the study conducted a correlation analysis. Then, the study performed a 2-step cluster analysis in order to find the cluster pattern distribution by gender and a cluster profile, focusing on emotional clarity and emotional intensity, and also carried out a one-way ANOVA so that it could discover the difference in the level of emotional experience by cluster, more in depth. A result of reviewing obtained four types of groups including a cerebral group, a cold group, a hot group, and an overwhelmed group. Next, in order to determine any significant difference in terms of game addiction among clusters separated by a cluster analysis, the study undertook the Multivariate Analysis of Variance, MANOVA. An overwhelmed group with higher emotional intensity and lower emotional clarity relative to the other three clusters, was found to be highly probable to experience social isolation due to game addiction and the use of computer games as well as difficulties with scholastic, physical, and emotional problematic behaviors accompanying the use of computer games. Therefore it is meaningful in that it practically classified a group vulnerable to game addiction that seriously threaten child development, and proposed basic necessary data for use in adequate counseling and guidance for them.
