손은 어린이에게 지각능력을 발달시키는 수단으로 다양한 체험을 통해 어린이의 발달에 도움을 줄 수 있어 최근 부모들 사이에서 관심이 높아지고 있다. 따라서 시각적인 전시보다는 손으로 직접 조작하여 전시물에 관한 이해와 교육 효과를 극대화 할 수 있는 Hands-on 체험 전시연출 방법이 모색되어야 한다. 본 연구는 손으로 직접 조작할 수 있는 어린이 과학체험관으로 연구의 범위를 한정하고, 현장 조사를 통해 현황을 파악하여 구체적인 사례분석을 실시함으로써 앞으로의 전시연출방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 조작성이 높은 전시연출 방법이 눈과 손의 통합성이 높게 나타났으며 미숙한 손의 활동을 정돈된 행동으로 바뀌는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 손의 감각을 느끼는 전달성과 방향성은 부족하게 나타났다. 그러므로 Hands-on 전시연출방법을 다양하게 적용하여 전시개념을 이해하며 배울 수 있는 교육적인 연출 방법으로 확장되어야 한다.
Abstract
As the means to develop cognitive ability of child, hands are helpful for the development of child through various experiences so parents have high interests in them recently. Therefore, it is necessary to search for the exhibition display method of hands-on experience that can maximize the interest and education effect of exhibited work through hands-on operation rather than visual exhibition. The study restricted the study scope to science experience museum for child that allows hands-on operation, grasped current status through field research and suggested the direction of future exhibition display by performing specific case study. The study result revealed that the exhibition display method allowing frequent operation showed high combination of eyes and hands and changed unskillful hand operation into arranged behavior. However, the transfer and direction for feeling the sense of hand were not sufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to extend it to the educational display method that enables children to understand and learn exhibition concept by applying various hands-on exhibition display methods.
