장소성 구축을 위한 현대건축 표현 양상에 관한 연구

(연구배경 및 목적) 건축은 근대화 과정을 거치면서 규격화, 획일화되어 장소성의 결핍 등의 문제가 나타나기 시작하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 환경으로부터 장소의 이론적 이해를 바탕으로 현대 건축의 장소에 대한 접근과 건축의 내·외부 공간에서 표현 양상의 특징을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. (연구방법) 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 이론적 고찰로써 장소성의 개념과 장소성 구성에 대한 선행연구를, 그리고 사례분석은 2001~2010년 사이에 준공된 국내·외 건축물을 대상으로 실시하였다.(결과)결론은 다음과 같이 3가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 맥락 중심적 표현양상은 생태 환경과 문화 중심적인 특성을 보이며 주변 대지 환경과 융화되어 건축물을 부각시키지 않는 형태적 특징이 있다. 둘째, 사건 중심적 표현양상은 공간 프로그램을 통해 내·외부 형태가 구현되고 공간 구분이 행태에 의해 이루어지고 있었다. 셋째, 은유 중심적 표현양상의 경우 행태 이면에 인간의 체험적·감성적 조절을 통한 건축의 미적 공간체험 유도를 통하여 장소의 의미를 획득하고 있다.
Abstract
(Background and Purpose)In architecture, problems concerning the lack of a sense of place arise from standardization and uniformity in line with modernization. This study aims to examine the expression aspects of internal and external space and the architectural approach to space based on the theoretical understanding of the place. (Method)To achieve the study objective, the study examined the advanced research on the concept of sense of place and on the construction of sense of place as a theoretical examination ; the study also examined case studies of domestic and international buildings between 2001 and 2010. (Result)The results can be summarized in three findings as below. First, the contextual expression aspect has a sense of ecological environment and cultural characteristics and does not bring the architecture into harmony with the surrounding land environment. Second, the event-focusing expression aspect, the interior and exterior are divided by the internal space program and the division is made accordingly. Third, as for the metaphorical expression aspect achieves the sense of space by enhancing the aesthetic space experience as empirically and emotionally controlled by the human beings behind the aspect.
