This study is focused on the flexibility and phenomenological expression characteristic in the surface and space of contemporary architecture. Through a field survey contemporary architecture 5 works on the Deconstructionist Architects, this study was investigated and analyzed the flexibility & phenomenological expression characteristic design tendency regarding two categories; surface, space. The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data for designing of contemporary architecture. Therefore, the results will be developed into interest in the effect of architectural surface and space on human perception and consciousness, and they have been considered as interactive in ecological, psychological and behaviroal, and aesthetic terms rather than physical environment.
