도시재생 관점에서 바라보는 유휴공간의 활성화 방향 연구 -고가도로 하부공간을 중심으로-

Abstract

(Background and Purpose)Overpasses are an important part of theurbanization and industrialization that have progressed rapidly. However, the space beneath them is backward non-utilized space. Interest in reusing misused urban spaces during urbanregeneration has increased recently, and the spaces beneathoverpasses have been developed for newness, but these havereached a limitations in terms of utilization. (Method)The methodof this study is research on and the analysis of the development ofthe areas beneath overpasses, incorporating recycling bestpractices, from the point of view of urban regeneration. (Result)The results of the study indicate that this spaceexpropriates a variety of functional and aesthetic facilities andoffers practical public spaces that encourage the participation ofthe local community. In addition, this space maintains andcommunicates continuous spatial value by deduction a unique ofplace to a scarce amount of space. Therefore, to activate a city’sadditional peripheral functions and improve the space’s amenities,it is expected that the spaces beneath overpasses will bedeveloped in a variety of ways for their consistent activation viapreviously derived elements.
