치유환경요소 분석을 통한 심리적 환경의 중요성에 관한 연구

Abstract

(Background and Purpose) While the level of awareness of life is rising in urban environments facing rapid urbanization and industrialization due to rapid economic growth, the rapid paradigm shift in society has led to increasing mental stress among people, along with various social problems. As a solution to these problems, interest in psychological satisfaction, rather than material well-being, is steadily increasing, which requires a healing environment that responds to them. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to recognize the meaning and importance of a user-centered psychological environment in healing environments through the reclassification of healing environment types from previous studies. (Method) A theoretical review was conducted focusing on previous studies from around 2010, when research on healing environments was actively conducted, and types and elements were reconstructed through a comparative analysis of healing environment types in previous studies, through which elements applicable to the psychological environment were specifically derived. (Results) As a result of deriving the elements that are sharable and applicable as psychological environmental elements through an analysis of previous studies, specific physical environmental elements such as natural elements, accessibility, openness, view, safety, noise control, color/material/texture, spatial sense, and way-finding were derived. Although these elements were classified as specific physical environmental elements, they provide psychological stability to the user and play an important role in enhancing the healing effect. In addition, they can be classified as a very important element that can also be used as a psychological element, since they affect the cognitive aspect as a primary element for recognizing and feeling space. The elements with the highest frequency in the psychological environment were privacy, followed by comfort, a homelike environment, stability, friendliness, and territoriality. This means that the creation of a user-centered environment is very important in the psychological environment to increase the healing effect in space. While specific social environmental elements include social exchange, communication, rest spaces, activity and hobby spaces, and social contact, specific behavioral environmental elements include social facilitation, active activity support, and interaction facilitation. This means that the psychological aspect affects user behavior, which can be an important element for obtaining psychological stability through social exchanges and specific interactions. (Conclusions) This study specifically derived elements that are sharable and applicable to the psychological environment through an analysis of the types and elements of healing environments suggested in previous studies. It is expected that these elements play a very important role in helping users perceive space and in obtaining psychological stability through social relationships together with existing psychological environmental elements. According to this study, it is meaningful to recognize the importance of the psychological environment in healing environments through these elements.
