본 연구는 역량 교육이 강조되는 시점에서 교육과정 논리에 근거한 특수교육 기본 교육과정의 운영 방안 탐색을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 역량기반 교육과정이 등장하게 된 배경과 학교 현장 실천과정에서의 교육적 특성을 검토하고, 인지적 장애를 가진 학생을 위한 역량기반 기본 교육과정의 운영 방안을 제시하였다. 그 연구결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지적 장애를 가진 학생을 위해서 확장된 역량 범주를 고려한 교육과정 운영이 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 실생활 사태와 문제의 대처능력을 위하여 교과 내 및 교과 간의 융합 및 통합이 강조되어야 한다. 셋째, 학생참여가 많은 수업방법이 적용되고 학교 안과 밖의 연계 교육이 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 다양한 방법으로 수행능력을 평가하는 과정중심 교육평가가 개발되어 실시되어야 한다. 다섯째, 장애학생들의 역량을 관리해 주는 교육 시스템 구축으로 교육의 책무성을 강화하여야 한다. 그리고 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 기본 교육과정을 적용해야 하는 인지적 장애학생을 위한 역량의 재개념화, 핵심 역량요소 분석, 역량기반 교육의 가능성 탐색 등의 추가적인 후속 연구들을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study aims at exploring how to manage basic curriculum for special education based on the logic of curriculum at the point to emphasize competence-based education. For this, the background of competence-based curriculum and educational characteristics of the actual practice in the school were reviewed, and suggestions for managing basic curriculum based on competence for students with cognitive disability were explored. The results are as follows: First, for students with cognitive disability, managing basic curriculum should be considering the expanded competency category. Second, for recognizing the actual status and responding the problems, intra- and inter-convergence and integration among curriculum should be emphasized. Third, teaching methods for large participation by students should be applied, and linked education between inside and outside school should be made. Fourth, process-focused educational evaluation for assessing performances with various methods should be developed and conducted. Fifth, obligation of education should be strengthened by building educational system for managing competences for disabled students. And, the study suggested additional topics for future studies such as re-conceptualization of competence for students with cognitive disability to be applied with basic curriculum based on the results of this study. analysis of core competence, and exploration of possibilities of competence-based education.
