초록
One of the roles ecological poems take these days is to induce the readers to an ecocentric awareness. Ecological poems for children are interesting in the way that they lead boys and girls ecologically and ecological poets themselves to ecological refinement. Kim Myung-Soo and Lee Byung-Yong are major ecological poets. Both of them are recently interested in writing ecological children's poems. Kim has criticized contaminated environments through the eyes of children or has praised harmonious nature of his boyhood in his poems. The expressions in these works do not seem to congruous with the children's sentiments, though. Recollecting uncontaminated nature, the characters in Lee's poems place emphasis on the importance of ecological attitudes toward nature. The nature Lee writes about is the nature the poet has spent his boyhood in. But it needs to be taken into consideration that these days the children are living in quite different natural environment from the middle aged poets. When the poems intended for children are attentive to their emotions and languages, they can be ecologically more meaningful.
