본 연구는 한국어교육 분야 학술 담화 관련 연구물들을 분석하여 연구의 경향성을 확인하고, 향후 과제 및 방향성에 대한 제언을 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 체계적인 문헌 고찰이라는 연구 방법을 통해 선정된 153편의 학술지 논문과 박사학위논문을 대상으로 삼아 연구 시기, 연구 대상, 연구 방법 및 연구 내용에 따라 면밀히 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 그동안 한국어교육 분야에서 학술 담화 관련 연구는 다양한 담화 유형 및 담화 장르를 대상으로 삼아, 풍부한 주제로 연구를 진행해 온 만큼 단기간에 많은 연구 성과를 축적해 왔다. 한국어교육 분야에서 학술 담화에 대한 초기의 연구들은 주로 범언어적 또는 사용역의 형식적인 특징에 대한 연구에 초점을 맞춰 진행되었다가 특히 최근 몇 년간에 그 연구의 내용이 점점 더 구체적이고 초점화된 경향이 눈에 띄며, 연구의 방법 또한 다양해졌다는 특징이 보였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 연구 대상, 연구 방법, 연구 내용 등 모든 측면에 걸쳐 편중화 현상이 나타나고 있으며, 연구 자료의 균형성 및 객관성에도 적절하지 못한 부분이 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 토대로 본고에서는 해당 분야의 향후 연구 과제 및 방향을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 본 연구는 한국어교육 분야 학술 담화에 대한 전반적인 연구 동향을 체계적인 방법을 바탕으로 분석함으로써 향후 연구의 과제 및 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The primary objective of this study is to analyze scholarly articles and research materials in the domain of academic discourse within Korean Language Education. This aims to identify current trends and suggest avenues for future research. A systematic review was executed on a curated corpus of 153 academic journal articles and doctoral dissertations, rigorously assessed for research period, subjects, methodologies, and content. The analysis shows that the field has yielded a diverse and significant body of research in a relatively short time span, initially focusing on panlinguistic or usage-based features but gradually diversifying in both topics and methods. However, the study also reveals imbalances in research focus, methodology, and content, thereby questioning the corpus’s representativeness and objectivity. Based on these findings, targeted recommendations for future research are outlined. The significance of this work lies in its comprehensive analysis of existing trends, serving as a guide for future endeavors in academic discourse within Korean Language Education.
