Abstract
In spite of great success of movie industry in domestic and foreign market, what factors lead an individual movie to success at structural level has been under discussion, but not much progress was made. On the basis of being aware of it, this study pays attentions to two important structural ways of resourcing in organizing contents of movie from the view point of economic sociology. It suggests the outcomes after conducting empirical analysis on 149 pieces of movie released in the frist half of 2011. The research results are as following: First, movies having more similar image with various movies are more likely to survive or have higher words of mouth effects in image network of consumer of movie industry. Second, increase of structural autonomy in certain movie have positive effects on words of mouth effects and survival of movie in collaboration network reflecting unique features of movie produced on the basis of project structure. This study is significant in that it considers the fact that various communication and collaboration process actually influence the success of movie in terms of economic sociology and it provides cornerstone for grasping macroscopic structure of movie industry by looking at internal interaction of movie network.
